  1. Cheerful Sorry to hear how bad it's been - maybe with all the hugs from her (foot and back massages, too) you can make it through your committment - did they have a clause that if you didn't stay, you paid part back ((pro-rated, by months?) If not, maybe start looking elswhere now, adn have something lined up - can give plenty of advance notice - then maybe the others will stop their c#^p! Lots of support to you chris
  2. Was taught in school, during clinical to waste - sink for liquids (or hopper) pills into the sharps container or down the sink. Nothing was ever in a textbbok about appropriate forms of disposal. chris
  3. Does anyone have good ideas for other activities? We recently lost both our OT adn COTA positions and now are responsible for this group also. We've been doing some crafts adn games - pictures, frames, art projects. I'm really running out of ideas....
  4. Although I work with the child/adolescent program, we do "nursing" educational groups - medication education is one we repeat regularly. Other topics that we include are; nutrition, sleep (or lack of..), diagnostic info (geared to specific groups), exercise. Also do a lot with anger maangement. Not sure if this helps, but some a few thoughts. Good Luck! Chris
  5. What type of population are you working with?
  6. I worked OR for 10 plus years, we always put the tubing under the leg, or if possible, straigth to the end of the or table.
