  1. Our hospital here in the north east rural Alberta is looking for RN's. They've had posting after postings but have had no luck.
  2. Congratulations! I applied to CARNA as an IEN, but I received an email from them that I am eligible to apply as Canadian RN with my experience from the U.S. =) So, I did and I'm still waiting for a reply. My family and I are moving to St. Paul sometime in July. Goodluck to you!

It is highly unlikely, but I was able to do it. I passed the CRNE before all of it too, maybe that made a difference.
  4. Hey iheartcanucks how's your application going?

CRNBC required me to complete 250 hours of supervised practice prior to obtaining full licensure because I'm an IEN. I sent out my resume to every facility I can. I made calls, talked to nursing managers and anybody I know that worked anywhere that employed a nurse. I wasn't just looking to complete my hours though. I wanted a job, but no one wanted to hire a nurse without a full practicing license. I heard about others who volunteered their hours and contacted CRNBC about it. I was told by CRNBC that they do not recommend anyone volunteering for their hours, but they will count the hours. It wasn't easy and took a bit, but I now have my practicing license and employed as an RN. If CARNA will allow it and if you don't mind working for free, that could be an option for you. Goodluck =)
  6. Born in Philippines. Studied Nursing in California. Currently employed in BC and moving to Alberta in a couple of months.
  7. Choose the cardiology. You won't regret it.
  8. I applied for registration with CARNA in 2009, but my application lapsed. I thought we were staying in BC for good and that's why I didn't pursue it anymore, but I have to re-apply all over again. I'm employed as casual and have only worked a little over 200 hours. I hope all goes well =)
  9. Wow, I'm reading your post and I'm feeling deja vu. I'm working on my registration with CARNA as an IEN as well. My family and I will be moving to Alberta from BC in a couple of months. Goodluck to you and me =)
  10. Congratulations to all that passed! Anybody in BC get their results yet?
  11. Hi GIA373, I'm wondering if you decided on signing up for the 1yr re entry program at Kwantlen. If you have, would you mind sharing your experiences?
