I had some infusion calculation problems on an exam today that stumped me. We were given an example question prior to the exam, but I forgot to review it-needless to tell you how that went. Anyway, I went to the hosptial where I do my clinical rotation to ask the RN's there and guess what??? They didn't know!!! So here it goes... Prescribed: 80 units of heparin per hour by continuous IV infusion. Available: 1000 mL D5W with 10,000 units of heparin. Set infusion pump at ____ mL/hr. Can someone please tell me how to solve for this calculation???? Blue Legacy 1920
