ATI test
I do see how this ATI is there to protect and cover the instructors a** and the school, because if students do not pass on the first time on the NCLEX, they can go back and have proof that they "did their job" and gave the student all useful tools to help pass the NCLEX 1st time around. BUT.....where is the protection for the students? We are the ones paying for this education. And what I really like, is that our instructors do not teach the ATI, and the folks at ATI have NOTHING to prepare you for their exams, except their books. Well, why in H@LL was I forced to buy my nursing textbooks from the bookstore and the instructors used those books to teach us out of and not the ATI textbooks from which we are going to have our comprehensive exit exam (that if we do not pass we dont graduate, we have 3 chances and must score a 95% probablity or better)!!!! And if you have noticed, the ATI has a lot of different values from those in the standard nursing Med Surge textbooks. I have completed my 4 semesters and have taken all my finals, but am preparing to take the ATI exit exam on the 27th. What further blew my mind was that the instructors have already seen the exam, and all they say is to do more NCLEX questions and that it looks REALLY HARD?!?!?!? Thanks....I think.:spbox:

ATI test
I meant a requirement to graduate....not only to pass.

ATI test
This ATI almost seems illegal with schools. I know that we choose to go to these schools under the pretense of these exit exams (well, some of us, and others it is conveniently "sprung upon"), but how do they get away with making it a requirement to pass. It is not part of the curriculum and it is something that we as students have to pay for. I just do not understand how "legally" they can do it.

4th Semester ATI
I made it to the 4th and final semester of the RN program. However we have a Transition to Nursing class that every week we take a proctored exam from ATI, not for a grade, but to see where we stand in all subject areas. (Ex: Adult Health, Fundamentals, Psych, Pediatrics, etc.) Anyhow, took the proctored Adult Health (Med Surge) exam today and I did not score well. For this class, we have to turn in each week 100 NCLEX questions from the NCLEX 3000, 3500, or 4000 (we can also use Saunders or Hogan's NCLEX review cd's as well) and we have to score higher than an 80. I am wondering if there is anything else out there that I can do (besides go back and take Med Surge again) to help bring my assessment level of Adult Health. I found the ATI to be extremely difficult and asked VERY specific items regarding procedures rather than the generic questions found on the NCLEX review cd's. If anyone has any ideas or other programs I can do, I would appreciate them greatly. We have an Exit Exam coming up the end of March so I want to prepare for that. That is if I pass all my classes I will be able to sit for the Exit Exam. (Remaining classes I am taking now: Psych and Med Surge II, which so far I am passing Psych and Med Surge II). Thank you!!!
