Nurse and Starting a Family
You can do anything you put your mind to! I started LPN school when my daughter was 5 months old. I finished that in a year. I just finished RN school and she's now 4. It wasn't the easiest thing that I've ever done, but I knew that it had to be done. Be glad you have your husband there to support you. Maybe try to plan the birth to be during your summer vacation or winter break if you can plan it out. Good luck!

LPN's working L&D or postpartum
I know in Mississippi, LPN's can't work L&D but can work Postpartum. I've been a LPN for 3 years and just finished RN school. It might vary state to state! Good luck!

Going on day 7 and still no NCLEX results!!!
Thanks for the reassurance!! =) I've been really worried and questioning myself over and over and over...

Going on day 7 and still no NCLEX results!!!
But...did you have a misdemeanor on your record?

Going on day 7 and still no NCLEX results!!!
MS doesn't participate in Quick Results unfortunately. And the BON has been no help. Called them and the guy stated that it's in "final review" and after it leaves "final review" I should find out my results, however, he didn't know how long it'd be in "final review." I guess I might as well be patient....

Going on day 7 and still no NCLEX results!!!
Hey y'all! Tomorrow will be exactly a week from when I took my boards. I did have a misdemeanor on my record and I did notify the board and turned in all the necessary paperwork. Maybe that's the hold up? I'm slowly starting to freak out! What if they found something else on my record that I didn't know about?! What if I failed?!? Gosh...Wonder how long this is going to take....

LPN or RN
Or possibly even LPN to see how you like it and then maybe bridge over to RN...Just an idea. I live in MS and there are a lot more opportunities for an RN in Hospice as well as other fields and RN's here make lots more than LPNs. I'm an LPN myself who just finished an RN program. So, just a thought.

Misdemeanor on Record?! How long for NCLEX results?
I've tried and can't really find much. I don't think a 15 dollar check will keep me from getting my license..in fact, it's probably a minor misdemeanor offense that goes through their office...However, just the waiting is the hard part! I want to know if I passed or if I failed!!

Misdemeanor on Record?! How long for NCLEX results?
I wrote a bad check in Oct. 2006 (thought it was okay, but apparantly didn't have the funds in my account) for less than $15.00. I moved about 2 weeks after that. I didn't have any idea about it until Oct. 2007 when I got something in the mail saying I had a warrant out for my arrest. I IMMEDIATELY went and paid the fines/fees and it was dismissed, but I still have the "arrest" showing up on my record. It was a misdemeanor charge. I reported it to the BON here in Mississippi on my application. I took my boards last Wednesday (6/4/08) and still no sign of pass or fail. Nothing showing up on the BON website and nothing in the mail. All the documents from the court and myself have been submitted to the BON. The board won't tell me a time frame. Two questions: 1) Will I even be able to get a license with that on my record? 2) How long will it take for me to find out if I passed/failed my boards?? Thanks for any help, as I am REALLY worried about this!! Kristen:confused:
