  1. I have 16 years of nursing experience and have not been able to find a job!! Left school nurse position to re-enter new area of nursing. any advice?
  2. Boy this thread has been a real bummer! I am an ADN-BSN student graduating this May. With plans to apply to a FNP program, can you guess? ONLINE!!! In my situation I have no choice as there are no programs offered nearby. I have lived in my City for over 20 years and do not plan to move. 800 clinical hours are to be completed, arranged by the university and close to where I live. I am actually quite confident that I will get an excellent experience and will make a great clinician. After all I have been a great nurse for 20+ years. Who is to dispute that, just because I am going to take online lecture format classes?
  3. Thank you so much for responding! This gives me a great place to start!
  4. I am working on a paper entitled "Case management of the uninsured population." Does anyone have any suggestions of resources used in this area? I need specifics as to what a CM does when dealing with the uninsured. Thank you so much for you help!
  5. I left school nursing after 8 years, due to boredom, feeling my position was undervalued and underutilized. I have so much more to offer to the nursing profession. HOWEVER, I do agree with luvschoolnursing. Get some experience before you get into school nursing. When it rains it pours and you are on your own. Meanwhile, I am back in school and looking at a Master's or NP. GOOD LUCK!
