I goal is to shoot for CRNA school, but i want to work for a couple years first (plus you have to have at least 1-2 yrs icu experience before you can apply to CRNA programs). i will also apply to a few NP programs as well for back up.

I started nursing school to be a CRNA
I graduated from Florida Atlantic Univeristy with a 3.68 in Nursing. I have been working for 6 months on a progressive care unit and I am seeking ICU experience. I graduated with honors and have many university wide honors. I will take the GRE in December this year and I hope to pass with at least a 1100. My plan is to work for a few years and than apply to CRNA school, actually i plan to apply in Feb. 2009 for Jan. 2010 semester. What else can i do in between to improve the looks of my application?

**How to study for the GRE??**
I'm studying for the GRE right now. I have found in the last 2 weeks that my math skills have progressed exponentially but the verbal sections give me the hardest time. I'm studying from the Kaplan GRE math/verbal review books. I also believe that not everyone has the capacity to score a 1300. I've found that in the verbal section you either know the word or you don't, simple as that. however, the math section is testing your logic more than your general knowledge. I believe that if you don't remeber how to add fractions than definitely study to refresh your skills, but the GRE will test logic and efficiency. I also believe that if you can improve your score anywhere its more likely going to be your verbal section, because you can actually study to learn those GRE words.

What graduate program are you applying for? I have a 3.69 gpa in my undergraduate studies and I'm hoping to apply to either a NP or CRNA program.

Gre For Graduate Nursing Programs
My Name Is Josh And I Would Like To Apply For Graduate School To Earn A Masters Degree In Nursing Education. I Would Love To Become A University Professor To Help Educate New Prospective Nurses Into The Field. The Gre Seems To Be The Only Challenge In My Way. I Haven't Taken A Math Course In 5-6 Years And I Have Done My Research On The Content Of The Gre. I Don't Know Where To Go From Here? Please If Anyone Has Had A Similar Quandary Please Post.
