  1. Hi, I am trying to get a general feel on the job situation for nurses in Chicago. I am moving there shortly, and I have my RN license currently pending for Illinois. I have my BSN, and one year of med/surg experience at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, and I am wondering if I will be able to find a job very easily in downtown Chicago. I am hoping for one of the university hospitals. Also, does anyone have any opinions on agency nursing in Chicago? Would that be a good way to see lots of different hospitals and then choose one later for more permanent employment? Any comments appreciated, thanks!
  2. Hi, I see this post is kind of old but maybe someone can give me even more info on this. I am graduating with a BSN in December, and I want to move to Chicago to be a nurse. I was trying to figure out the IL website thing, and then I just ended googling it and found this forum. So do you have to take another test in IL in addition to the NCLEX or what?? Or is the NCLEX enough, and then you just do that whole fingerprint ordeal and apply? I just really don't understand the whole process. More clarification would be great.
