It is really sad and horrible of how other caregivers care for the elderly in resthomes. I just started work recently and I have observed couple of caregivers wipe their genitals so roughly that they clinched up their hands and feet. It so hurts my feelings to see them lying on the bed feeling helpless and that they can't have a say because no one ever listens to them anyway. Let's just pray and hope that God is watching those UNCARING caregivers and may be punished in the end.

Hey guys... just to let you know that any filipino/nas considering of applying to NZ, it's easier for you to take the IELTS over there as it is much cheaper than taking it here. There's not many Nurses in NZ and am pretty sure that it would be really easy for you new Grad to get in. The Immigration are less strict about genuine people looking for a job especially Nurses. :heartbeat:heartbeat

My only suggestion would be for all new GRAD (RN) to apply a job here in NZ as we don't have many nurses. I know that you have to take a 3 month bridgin course (IELTS) with family you know sponsoring you, otherwise they will not let you in the country without a support. I also heard that over there in the Phils. they offer IELTS already? If they do then it is important to sit that exam first before applying to NZ.

I've always thought that most doctors are bad tempered and think highly of themselves. I agree that you should go to the Police because he assaulted you. The law are set to believe woman (well here in NZ it is) no matter what you say is true or not. I know know.. it shouldn't be like that. Don't take sh*t from people just because they can get away with it. Even if it's your fault... No one should ever slap you in the face.

Thanks Jessica . I really hope that I'll get to the point of thinking dead people are just part of life and I should not dwell over it. I don't want to think about it because to be honest, it is so stressful for me... Could you beleive it that I AM SCARED OF MY OWN HOUSE:banghead:...I'm totally scared of being alone in the house thinking I'll see something unusual and weird. So, I do think I need help mentally. I should seek proffesional help.

Yah I agree. Sounds like she is losing her touch. It may be that she has encountered a similar problem in the past and made her irritable to the situation. Who knows.

Applying to Nursing school is hard to get into cuz' they'd wanna make sure that we are serious about the studies even though there's alot of nurses shortages. That's what I've been told anyway.

Thank you everyone... it really helped me understand a lot. Anyways, We had a grumpy:angryfire neighbor who died not long ago. He was such a complicated person so all of us kinda avoided him. Not realizing that he had been dead in his flat for about a week. It started getting so smelly (it was so awful) and we were like wondering where it came from. I'm pretty sure that's what got me exersized about dead people. I guess it was just sad:sniff: that he had no close family around when ha passed away.

I'm considering Nursing cuz it runs in my family. I'm scared cuz of spiritual reasons. Spirit seems to find and follow me which makes me scared.
