  6. Hi All, I just happened to notice this forum and was very happy in seeing prayers being offered for each other. Well I am here to request prayers for my wife. She is from India and is preparing for her 3rd appearance for NCLEX exams. She has been studying hard. Everytime I go to the church I burst into tears pleading to My Lord to help her with the strength to succeed. Its been hard for us and I am trying to be with her all the time. She is going to take her test In the 2nd week of August. Prayers from all of you needed for my wife. I felt happy seeing this forum because there are going to be lot of people praying for her. Remembering all of you in prayers....
  7. Hi Suzanne, Thank you for the reply...That gives some relief at one end. Now I will be appearing for my RN exam. How long is the license valid? Like I am planning to go out to another country to work for the time being after getting my RN license so that I could get more experience. But I wanted to know how long the license will be valid. I am appearing for my exam through Vermont probably by the end of June. will I be able to renew it even if I do not have an SSN. (Right now I am here on H4 visa)
  8. hi all, i am not sure about i should ask this question here but since the information that i had read and received from here has been helpful and so i trust this forum a lot suzanne, your initiative in helping others understand the different policies to different people is much appreciated. hats off to you!!! my question is as follows: my husband's parents are already here in us as lawful permanenet residents. they have applied for my husband's gc petition back in 2005 under unmarried son category. this was filed back in 2005. recently we happened to notice that in the petition my husband's name is mentioned in the wrong order. in my husband's passport it is mentioned in the following way: last name: mathews raju given name: anup so in the i 797 notice of action it should have been shown as "mathews raju, anup" but it is shown as "raju, anup m." this could be an error from our side because at the time when we filled the form we just went by what was there in the form instead of filling it as per the passport. can this be corrected? will it lead to a complete refiling of the petition leading to a new priority date? please help...
  9. Hi Suzanne...thank you for response on the Visa Screen issue and also regarding the work permit I got the information from reading other articles in the forum. The only question that was unanswered for me was the NJU BSN program. I have pasted the question again? Question: I happened to read about the BSN program that New Jersey University has. Is that a certified one? Anybody who has done that? I am sorry if I am acting foolish but I am new to this country so want to check with people who have experience and the knowledge.
  10. Hi me too a nurse who has 3 year diploma in india. I also have 2 years work experience. I am preparing for my NCLEX exam. I am here with my husband who is on H1B visa. I have already applied thru Vermont to take me exam and have got the ATT to write the exam. Since the waiting for GC is going to be long I am planning to earn the BSN degree. I had some questions regarding the degree and also immigration: 1) I happened to read about the BSN program that New Jersey University has. Is that a certified one? Anybody who has done that? I am sorry if I am acting foolish but I am new to this country so want to check with people who have experience and the knowledge. 2) I have heard about the Visa screen. If I pass the BSn thru NJU will that mean that I will be waived of the English exam which is one of the requirement for Visa Screen? 3) If I had an employer who is ready to sponsor and he starts the process, how long will it take to receive the work permit?
