keepswimming

well i called HR this morning to try to find out what really happened, she was very apologetic and was horrified that the manager did that. apparently the manager thought they had 3 positions, but they only had 2 and the other people hired were internal transfers. she said they're actually working on getting a new position made for me b/c they do want me to work for them and will call me as soon as that comes available, but in the mean time she set me up for an interview for a different floor and said she'd speak w/ the manager that made me the offer and make sure that no other managers do that. so maybe all this frustration will help get me a better job on another floor, maybe not, but at least i know what happened.

well i had a fantastic interview, the manager actually said "you have the position, now go enjoy your pinning and focus on the nclex, we'll hold this spot for you until you have your license but you need to wait for HR to call you to give you the official good news." and lo and behold HR called yesterday evening and BAM - no job for me. i think i'd be able to handle it better if the manager hadn't said that, but i'm so discouraged now. we only have 1 hospital here and i can't relocate right now. i know i'll find something, and it'll work out, but this is just such a heart breaking way to start the day.
