hello summer folks! I'm going to be going to utmb this fall and was wondering what i should start reviewing before school starts. Also, for the books, does it matter if the publication year is a year behind what the bookstore website says? For instance, if the website says that a certain book is 2nd edition publication year 2009, is it okay to get a book from amazon, same isbn, same edition but 2008 publication year. THanks!

i got mine at the doctors. maybe the person you talked to doesn't know what it is... but it should just be a test that sees if your immune to it. i can only think of a doctor or a small clinic somewhere...

yeah the link posted on the website didn't help. just type in cpr then the location. i live in houston so i found 2 that have the child, infant and adult but i have no idea what the two man is... anyone know anything about that?

i called someone about that... i don't remember who but mostly likely, call the admissions first and just ask who to call about that. that's what i did. or go through the main SON line (but that takes forever).

MAYRA888, that's the same policy for dr. eiler... he will allow us to take the quiz two times at most but the second one will count, even if it's higher or lower... thanks! so the quizzes are pretty simple? i just take notes for each chapter and do the terms... how did you study for it? thanks again!!

Haha it is alot! I think that it will be alota studying for 5 weeks! Does anyone know if the quizzes will bf hard? I think the quizzes are just ten questions but know if they will be general questions?

it is! i called the financial aid to get an estimate of how much the tuition is, it's $10,415 PER SEMESTER.

Myra888, Is the patho class you took online? Or lecture class? Oh and i was accepted into hbu as well! But i dont like their system and their requirements, its superfluous!

Bout dorms and apartments... Does anyone know where i can start looking for apartments? I plan on living with a friend of mine. It doesnt have to necessarily be in galveston, maybe clear lake. Any places that you guys can suggest with an affordable price? Maybe just one bedroom. Thanks!

Yeah, but i got my email tuesday... So i should wait another day? Oh, and i called enrollment bout tuition for an estimate and she said its bout $10-12,000 for the 2 yrs without living expenses and books. So its very reasonable.

Yep, at least thats what i understand. The most important thing is the sheet that says you accept. As for the other things, it can be turned in later. The immunization records must be in by july 15 but im going to do that stuff as early as possible to get it over with.

val1314, that's EXACTLY what I have to do! I'm taking patho this summer online for san jac, you takin it there too? i have to do the cpr and then the skin test and i'm done. July 9 i can REALLY relax!! no stress, no worries, hopefully by then i'll have all the housing and this stuff done! to iiNurses, I was interviewed at 10 on the 15th. it was very fast, like 15 to 20 minutes. :)

Oh yeah, i cant figure it out as well. I called and they transferred me to enrollment services and no one picked up so thats why i have to drive down there and hand everything in...

I got my acceptance letter too! Hey are you going to physically sending the forms in? I think i might go tomorrow morning... But yay i SHRIEKED when i saw it!

yep, they are only accepting 65 outta the 100 people they interview! it's a really good chance actually cause it's more than 50% we'll get in. haha i know some people have already gotten their acceptance letter and i called the nursing admissions, and they said they're still sending the emails. to check this friday and next friday. I'm just worrying because i had my interview the 15th like some people on this thread and i haven't received anything yet... so if you guys have any new news pls keep us posted!!!!!
