  1. Like a drug, every person is different. I plan to go to nursing school full-time and work part-time (>20hrs/week) keeps me in check with reality. It sucks having to study and never socialize outside of your nursing school.
  2. Bump for advice. I've checked with my employers here, they said it doesn't matter which school I go to because all nursing schools go to the nursing provincial board for approval. How about other countries in the world? I checked with Sydney, they hadn't gotten back to me yet.
  3. Hi there, I've applied to many nursing schools and it has come down to this. I'll be getting in to one of the two schools, which is the University of Victoria by Fall 2010 or Langara College by Spring 2011. I know they are both good schools but I know what the pros and cons are for each one. Actually, only one con for Langara, which is a receiving a college degree. The reason being... After graduating, I plan to move around the country, particularly Australia. I'll be doing my research and contacting the employers regarding about my credentials, but does it matter if I got my BSN from a university or a community college? What's your take on it. PS: I might request to move this to Australia forums later on.
  4. In my opinion the answer is yes and no. It all depends on your studying habits. Premed courses are tough and the MCAT is tougher, so if you have your foundations down pat early, then it will be smooth sailing from there. Just stay on top of things at all times.
