Changing nursing major to something different
Exactly. A 3.2 isn't that bad but the average GPA of the students who get accepted into our program is like a 3.65 and anything below that is pretty much put aside. My advisor has not been very helpful to me these last couple of semesters when it comes to what I would have needed to be competitive and also I heard from some of my peers that she gave them a couple tips on how to set up their schedules in ways that would produce the least amount of stress, which I was never aware of.

Changing nursing major to something different
I have been taking my nursing prerequisites for about 1 and a half years now. This would be my last semester since I have applied to the nursing school for next semester. My advisor told me that with the GPA I have (3.2) and not having any experience as a nurse aid or LPN, I will not get in because I do not have enough points on the ranking scale. With that said I feel like after taking all these classes and not doing as well as I wanted that nursing just may not be for me. The only problem is that I all I have to show for my two years of college is nursinng prerequisites. What could I do besides nursing with these types of classes without having to take extra time in college? I appreciate the answers.

Told I won't get in to nursing school
So, I got a reply back from my adviser saying the average GPA for my schools nursing program is 3.61 and I have a 3.29. She told me it will be pretty hard for me to get accepted. What do I do? I have all of these nursing prerequisites with nothing to show for. What can I major in now? Is there still a way I can become an RN? I want a BSN bc I would like to move up in nursing. Thanks

Concerns About Relationships In/After Nursing School
Hey everyone, I'll first introduce myself to everyone since this is my first post. I recently just finished my freshman year in college. I am finishing up basic studies before I apply to nursing school during my sophomore year. I wanted to enter the field of nursing to persue a career as a CRNA eventually. Anyways..I read about this topic in other threads but I didn't want a variety of answers that may not pertain to the topic. I also hope I don't seem like an immature or unprofessional person by asking this question but here it goes: I just wanted to know if nursing school or nursing as a profession provides a male student/nurse with more options for woman/dating. Woman/dating is by no means my first priority when it comes to my career, but I just wanted input from people in the same situation or who have been in my situation before because I don't want to be alone forever. As a prospective male nurse, my concerns arise when I think about the possibilty of the women thinking I am gay because I am pursuing nursing or that I am not a potential partner because of the profession I chose. If I am a nurse does this pose a problem to my future or should I not even be worried? PS - I'm not a feminine person nor do I lack the social skills needed to talk to women. I played many sports throughout high school and freshman year of college I played intramural football. I have been in two long-term relationships. Im just concerned that my career might hinder future relationships.
