  1. Hi :wink2: I really appreciate your help. It won't let me pm you unfortunately because I have only ever posted on this site 4 times, apparently you need 15. I am happy to give you my email address, are you ok with that? Thank you so much again
  2. You may want to consider. I am about to finish the program there. I can speak for almost everyone in the program when I say that the nursing school does not have their act together. We have all experienced frustration over the duration of our program. The 12 week strike did not help, but there were so many other issues. When the former director of nursing was still around, things were amazing. We had the chance to have her as our teacher 1st semester. Now someone else has taken over who does not bother to even introduce herself to the student body, she does not practice what the school's philosophy is. I strongly advise you go anywhere but York, it was a horrible experience and I can't wait to leave.
  3. Hi everyone, I wasn't sure if this was the right forum to post this question, but if not, hopefully someone can redirect me. I am a 2nd Degree Bachelor's student who has just finished my educational component in Toronto, Canada. All I have left is my last semester (Independent placement) that runs from end of June until beginning of September. After this I plan to move to New York City as my fiancee lives there. I want to start the process with CFGNS asap as I want to ensure I can work there as soon as possible. Does anyone know if I can start the application now? As mentioned, I'm done all classes, I just have my final clinical placement left. My official date of graduation here is October '09, which I will come back for. Also, in Canada, you can only write the boards in October and Feb. I plan to write them here this October because I want to be licensed here and in NY. Also, can I write the NCLEX before writing the CRNE? If I can write the NCLEX first, I rather focus on studying for it throughout the summer since it is a priority to be able to work in NY. Any help would be much appreciated
