HESI EXIT EXAM #4
I just have a little advice for passing the Hesi: Try as much as possible not to spend so much time answering each question. I noticed a lot of people spend a lot of time on each question all because they want to get it right (esp. me), but the end result is that, spending so much time on a question makes you think outside the box (question); so try and use 1 min for a question. Second advise is that- DO NOT CHANGE YOUR ANSWERS. this is a common mistake in nursing exams; once you key in that answer, just go next. dont try to change it again. A lot of the answers you change is always from the right ones to the wrong ones. I really hope this helps, because it did for me.

Failed out of nursing sch. waited a yr and they are not accepting me again.
Hi bibish, I am so sorry to hear of your disappoitment. I am closeby, in Lubbock. I don't know of any programs that are still accepting applications for the fall.. But have you considered starting in the Spring? (Jan '09) You don't have to wait a whole year. Here in Lubbock, Covenant Hospital and South Plains College both have cohorts that start in the fall and spring. They are ADN programs, not BSN, but they are very affordable. Covenant will also reimburse your tuition plus a 6k sign on bonus if you work for them for 2 years. If you are set on the BSN, I know Tarleton and West Texas A&M both start in the Spring. I'm sure there are others.. There are options! Don't get discouraged. Good Luck!! Hi Goldengirl22, thanks a lot for your concern. I will look into the ADN program for your school and also try the couple of schools you gave to me for the spring semester. Thanks once again.

Hi Don, Thanks for helping me to realise that I can still apply to these schools I have started this process already and hopefully something good will come out of it.

I guess the big question is why did you get asked to leave the first time? Academics, attitude, laguage barrier, attendance..? Do you feel you have resolved the problem that got you kicked out the first time? Can you provide the school with documentation of what steps you have taken? I would apply at every nursing school that may take any passing credits from your last school- at least that way you haven't wasted the $. If a school dismisses a student there may be no way to overcome that stigma with that school. With the competition to get into nursing programs it may be best to expand your applications Thanks Sussana for replying but I was not kicked out/dismissed, I only failed one of my classes. And yes, I am trying to expand my applications.

Looks like I'll be applying for Spring 2009!
Please can you tell me the nursing school you are applying to for the spring 2009, because I am trying to get into a nursing scholl after having to wait a year and a half. Or do you know where I can get a list of those schools.

Thanks for replying. I did not understand what you meant by "other options". do you mean changing my major?

Hi everyone, Pls forgive me if I did not post this thread the right way, I am new to this website. But please I need help. I am a nursing student in Abilene TX, and I failed after my first semester in the nursing school. Then I was told to wait till the next academic year to apply again, which I foolishly did. I did not think of applying to other nursing schools because I thought I would not have a problem getting back in but I was denied the re-entry into the school. My family is already disappointed in me because of money already wasted( am an international student with no loan), I have no one to talk to about this, my advisors are not helping. I got the denial letter today, I have called schools still accepting applications for students that were denied but they are all full. I feel that because I had waited a whole year to get this BSC. I should not have to wait again, I feel it is unfair. FIRST of all, do you know any school in any state still accepting applications for this Fall 2008. If it ends up that there is none, do you guys think I should wait another year to apply again?. (and probably continue to be hated by my family). or try schools accepting new/transfer N.students in the spring. Also please I am trying to get a list of schools accepting applications for entry into spring semester, I do not mind the State. I am sorry I burdened you all with my problems but please I need all the help and encouragement I can get. Thanks
