  1. Too FAT to be a nurse?

    I just recently got accepted into a BSN and ADN program. I have worked as a medical assistant for a busy pediatric practice for several years now. My worry is that I've seen so pretty negative comments in regards to overweight or obese nurses. Should I put everything I worked so hard for on hold to "lose weight"?

    Hello to All! I am currently pursuing a degree in nursing and I have recieved alot of discourging information. 1.You cant work while going to nursing school. I have to pay for car, cell, gas..ect. 2. What school has a good ADN program in the Dallas metroplex? I was told to stay away from brookhaven and unless you have a 4.0 gpa you cant get in anywhere(my nursing advisor told me that! and switch majors!) Granted I dont have a 4.0 but I am at least a 3.4. I just need some advise before I change my major. I am a medical assistant now and I have always been intrested in nursing. Thank you in advance!!:bowingpur
