NTI Springdale - LPN program
Thanks for your time Rhonda! I will continue to think on my decision. After all of this schooling PLUS adding another 18 or so months on to it and another $7K in tuition - don't think $12-$17 would be even in the ballpark for what I would hope to be paid -you're right NWA is not the best place to make money! Well, thanks again! Good luck in your work! I'll keep thinking on it! Jacque

NTI Springdale - LPN program
Hi Rhonda! Thanks so much for your information about NTI!! If I can ask, are you working as an LPN in NWA? If so,how do you find the starting pay rates in the area? I am interested in oncology - I'm a certified phlebotomist, EKG tech, Pharm tech and will be getting a certification in colding and billing before I apply at NTI. I moved from Fayetteville last year and am in Flagstaff, Arizona working on an Associates degree in medical specialties. Any more information you have about NTI or anything related would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks again for your time! Jacque

Nursing students and nudity
Thanks for the info! It's not that I have an issue with other peoples nudity - no problem at all. It's more the thought of my nudity in front of all the people I will be going through this program with for the next year - male and female. I am a little modest I will admit, just wondered about things like EKG's where a female patient will be wearing an open gown with their bra off - will WE be doing that in class? I am a female by the way

Nursing students and nudity
Hi everyone! I have what I feel to be a stupid and maybe obvious question for nursing students. When it comes to hands on training - how much are we exposed (physically as in nudity) to our classmates? Example: learning to preform 12 lead EKGs. Are we going to actually disrobe in front of the class? Sponge baths, etc. I know we have to learn on each other, just wondered if we go all the way in terms of being seen nude by one another? Weird question...I know. Sorry, very new to all of this!:imbar:eek:

Competition for LPN programs???
Hi! Wondered if in general it is easier to get accepted into an LPN program than an RN program? I have all pre-reqs complete and an Associate Degree in Medical Specialties. I am also a certified phlebotobist, a CNA and certified in coding/billing. Not interested in RN at this time. LPN fine with me. Thanks for your input!!:wink2:
