I need some other peoples opinion on the processing. My status in the US is not your business . For all i know i can still apply and get my CES and sit for the NCLEX because someone has done it before in my school and maybe if his or her around she or he can tell me what he did.

Hi everyone, I am an LPN graduate in the Philippines. I am an immigrant living back in Chicago now and working as a CNA. I was wondering if i can go ahead and file my application in Illinois while waiting for my transcript and diploma to be sent to the Board. Or should i wait and then do the CES first. Kinda confused here. Can anyone help me?I dont know what to file first they said CES takes time. But still waiting for my transcript and diploma from Manila. I am a newly graduate and no nursing experience yet. What forms should I sent them and whats not.? They said if your a foreign graduate you need to file your application soon as possible. Please help from those who has done this before. Thanks and GOD bless.

Dont worry Suzanne4 i am a US green card holder..Thank you. And if you will say I am still considered as foreign graduates that's OK also i can do their requirements. No discouragement needed. We all have it in some point as well. Thanks.

I know CA license is only good in CA. But i can endorse it to that state i wanted to live and work right? I just have to follow there requirements for endorsement. My question is can I work on that state i want to live in and work while waiting for CA to transfer my license by endorsement? Thanks again..:uhoh21::typing

Hi nurses, How long for a foreign LPN to apply for initial licensing in CA. I am a little hesitant to apply in CA cause i heard for RN it takes forever to get a license i just dont know for LPN. Thanks for a lot of response. It will help me a lot. BTW, will i able to work even tho i am not living in CA and in another state but will applly for license in CA? Thanks again.

See thats my problem . I dont think there is one BON that is not asking for local license on there application form. Even with the work experience. I dont have work experience since we dont have license here and the only thing i have is my clinical experience. So whats my options here?. Having a green card doesnt mean anything since they make it hard for a foreign graduates to get in and work as a nurse in the US.

hi, Im a US green card holder. I graduated PN in the Philippines. We dont have local board for PN here. Is that mean that I dont qualify to work in the US since i dont have local board? What do i answer in my application when they ask for that? Plus the work experience, i just graduate and going back to the US soon. Appreciate your help. Hello, Its probably a dumb question but I am a little confused. What is the meaning of "Foreign graduates" in every state board of nursing website? Is this counts for RN only, or LPN or both? Thanks. and good day...

You mean for example if i live in Chicago and wanted to work over there and I am holding a CA license, they will not allow to work or practice unless i endorse my license to IL?

Hi everyone, I heard this before, Is it true that if your holding a CA license RN or PN you can work every states that you want to live in and stay? I'd like to know and can someone prove it to me from some of your experience looking for a job. Do they let you work with a CA license and endorse it later if you want to? Hi all, I am looking to apply for my license soon. Is there any US states that has a least requirements for a foreign graduates:confused: to sit for the NCLEX-PN? and as short time frame to wait for the ATT? Any help or information would be appreciated. Thanks a bunch and good luck! :typing

But without SS# and a GC..You cant work in the US right? What about the local license? We do not have local board exam in the Philippines. Will applying for CES affect this? Our country board of nursing doesnt recognized it either. :uhoh21:

Hi Everyone, Out of curiosity, a friend of mine told me today that PN graduates from the Philippines can get a visa screen after passing the NCLEX-PN. How true is this? What i know is they dont give visa screen for PN specially at the US embassy unless you have a legal paper to work in the US. Can CGFNS give this visa screen? I need some info on this..Thanks
