  1. I read the summary. It is very interesting and it does make some good points.
  2. A friend and I just accepted an assignment at San Francisco Kaiser. We are planning on being roomates. I wanted to know first about tips on housing inthe area before we accept the housing provided by the company. we are not bringing our cars and we plan to use public transportation. I also wanted to know if anyone has done an assignment there. We are both L&D nurses. Thanks!!
  3. Assignments are out there. This is one of those times when you can't be picky about location. I am finishing up an assignment in Texas and they were begging me to extend, I was told about another one elsewhere in Texas. But a friend and I just signed on for one in San Francisco. My recruiter told me that because we were flexible about location we were reasy to place. (We were submitted as a team of 2 L&D nurses). It's the slow season and the economy makes it difficult so this is when the compromise comes in. Good luck to you!!
  4. Fastaff has 8 week assignments (some are 13 weeks) and high rates. But, as stated before you will most likely be in an extended stay hotel and their benefit package is expensive
  5. I sent you a private message
  6. I went to Wachovia Bank to have my I-9 notorized and the notary said that he could not sign it. I called my agency and let them know what happened. They e-mailed me a letter to give to the notary that explained what they were signing and why. I went to a different Wachovia and the notary was willing to sign it without reading the letter. My friend had the same issue and she was able to get a signature at the same bank without any issues.
