  1. Val0512 I'm actually more interested in the accelerated program, would you say I would get in quicker than the traditional program.
  2. roxiroxmysox what do you mean by your spot rolled over, meaning you eventually got in?
  3. That's awesome! And thank you so much! Always nice to hear from a fellow shipmate, I want to Clep, I'll go to the Navy College office tomorrow and see about it.
  4. That's awesome, this has been my choice of program since about two years ago, I was stationed in Bethesda, MD in the Navy since 2011 and knew the Navy was not my calling, so I've had the plan to go HCC since then, I extended in the Navy to come to Bahrain so I could save a good amount of money before getting out, I'm also thankful to have the Post 9-11 GI Bill housing allowance so I don't HAVE to get a job and focus completely on my schooling, I'm really excited to start the program even if it will be a year from now lol, thank you for the info as well, are you a current student or graduate of the program?
  5. So I'm very interested in the HCC program, so much that I'm already looking for apartments (while in Bahrain, lol) in the the Howard County/ Anne Arundel County area, my husband is currently residing in DC, but he seems okay with the move. but my question is, is there anyone that can break down the whole waitlist, from what I've read, it seems if you are waitlisted, it seems to go by pretty quickly, not like where I'm from (Kansas) the waitlist is like 5 years.
  6. Thank you so much! Great help sir! Are you currently in school? And where?
  7. I'm excited for all who have been accepted, after getting discharged from the Navy I plan to attend HCC's program as well....
  8. Hello everyone, I have a concern. I will soon be discharged from the U.S. Navy, and I was wondering how soon can I apply for my Post 9-11 GI Bill? I've heard horror stories of it taking forever to recite your benefits. Thanks in advance ladies and gents...
  9. Wow thanks so much guys, How did you do on the skills testing, like making the bed, and taking vitals???
  10. Hey everyone, I've been going back and forth in my mind about this every since I've finished my CNA program. Would it be wise to start filling out aplications or wait until after I've passed my state exam, I don't know I just feel weird feeling out and application and not having the credentials to show (I absolutely hate leaving the CNA license # area blank )
  11. I'm so glad they have a campus in Zona Rosa, because I live in Gladstone (North Kansas City) so I'm closer to Zona Rosa. The reason why I ask so many questions about NAU is because earlier this year I started Brown Mackie's ADN Program and they screwed me every which way they could so I'm just going to be smart about it this time, and end up in more unwanted debt that got me nowhere.
  12. Okay here goes I just took my final last friday passed and missed eight out of 100, But will those questions be simular to the ones on the test? I had a very lousy teacher when I say lousy I mean L-O-U-S-Y. Al she really talked about was the polotics of healthcare which I don't even think will be on the state test. Any Kansas CNA's here can you HELP ME!!! My Exam is on the 16th this month, and while I'm very anxious to become a CNA and work as one, The test is making lose sleep all of sudden

  14. Thanks so much Chelley, I thought I scared you away with all my questions, but again thanks so much
  15. OMG Please do not go to brown mackie, they "seem" very nice but they will lie to you to get your money when I was there they never had anyone that graduated and a got a job offer, they've only had two graduating classes. Their not NLN accredited. May not be important to a lot of people but for someone like me who wants to go on and specialize in nursing its very important. Long story short it was in fact a clown school and quit after a month with 3,000 dollars in debt. The instructors passed eveyone with an A, which I think is ridiculous because out of 25 students we are not all going to be A students. The classes just seem too easy as if we were in kindergarden or something. Anyways thats all I have to say about them. Please,Please do not waste your money there
  16. Thanks chelley, sorry for all of the questions but what are the classes that are being taken after all prerequisites are finished (how many & the content), what does the schedule look like is all day (7am-4pm)? Thanks again!!!
  17. Chelley, would you be able to answer my questions: how long was the program? And what classes should I take at a community college so that I can decrease some of the cost? How much is tuition? An Last but not least Where did you get your offers from jobs? Thanks so much in advance!!!!
  18. ^^^^Because I feel I won't have a good chance at getting into a community college program. And a program like NAU, Concorde, will give me a better advantage, I don't have time to be on a waiting list for 5 years plus, thats just unexceptable.
  19. Sorry for all the questions!!!:loveya:
  20. Hey Hospital Staph how long was the program? And what classes should I take at a community college so that I can decrease some of the cost? How much is tuition? An Last but not least Where did you get your offers from jobs?
  21. Does anyone know someone whose working as an RN that graduated from National American University??? Also how long is the RN Program??
  22. i was wondering when cna's do overtime, are they allowed time and a half ??? thanks in advance!!! :redbeathe:heartbeat:redbeathe:heartbeat
  23. Wow DawnFromKC, indeed a small world it is. I was there at you guys' pinning ceremony. I believe I do remember you giving the Nightingale pledge. That's great!!!! i feel like I know you LOL, Well maybe in someway you can guide on my quest to become a RN!!! Nice to know you graduated with Ty.
  24. I hope they'll have some positions open when I'm just about through with the CNA Program
  25. Wow that is awesome I wonder did you graduate with my boyfriends sister, Tyeasha Pittman, she's the one that truly inspired me to go this route instead of straight RN. Oh and what are your thoughts on the NCLEX:eek: I'm very excited that you passed glad to E-know someone who did
