  1. Being a Canadian nurse I was hesitant to take this exam however alot was common sense. It took me about 30 mins to do. The important thing to know is where to find the information on the site.
  2. I was wondering if anyone has written this exam and has any pointers. I have to write it to obtain my permanent Texas license and am a bit daunted by the vast amount of information you must know or be able to look up quickly. Any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks
  3. I have met alot of nurses in my 28 years who are great test takers but their clinical nursing skills are not great and nurses who have difficulty with tests but clinically are great. I agree with it would be difficult to guess and pass.
  4. Sounds like a great job- I would keep your foot in the door in acute care. If you are out too long it will be difficult to get a job if you have been out of acute care for any length of time. Take it from someone who knows. I have been doing something along the same lines for 3 years now and an finding it difficult to get a job as I have been out of the acute care setting too long. Good Luck
  5. I am a canadian nurse who is licensed as a RN in Minnesota, has written NCLEX, has a completed visa screen for a TN visa which I will receive once I have a job letter and am at the Canadian/ US border. I am trying to get licensed in Arizona and they are telling me I need a I 94 passport. How do I get this when in order to get my visa I have to be entering the country for a job.? I am having great difficulty cutting through the red tape. Also I cant apply for a temp license until my fingerprints are obtained and they will not send me the fingerprint page until I have mailed in my application but I may need to get my license in 48 hrs which will not be possible if I have already mailed in an application. I am really confused about what to do. I have an interview in Arizona on Thursday. Should I wait and have them handle it? I am open to suggestions on what to do. Thank you.
  6. I had was sure I failed as well. I wrote Tuesday and found out I passed. There is no predicting the outcome- stay positive and I have my fingers crossed for you.
  7. Congrats on your passing.
  8. Congratulations
  9. You have taken the exam once now and know what to expect. I agree with everyone - look at your weak areas and concentrate on those. I wrote the NCLEX July 15 and am waiting to hear but I also feel that I did not pass. The most important thing is do not give up. You got through nursing school and you can do this.
