  1. Thanks you are a I think I will use... 1. Acute pain r/t uterine contractions 3. Risk for infection r/t repetitive lady partsl exams 2. Risk for Defient Fluid volume r/t decrease fluid intake.
  2. Hello, I am already in the program and I am currently taking OB. Make sure that you are persistant and don't expect for anyone to call you back... you need to keep up with your stuff and make sure that everything is right. The HESI has basic information about math but if you haven't taken A&P II you are lost because a lot of the questions come from there. For pharmacology you will have about 4 or 5 different instructors and you can not choose which ones you want because each instructor does a different lecture on the body system. Get use to that system because that is how all the classes are... You are not going to have one instructor for lecture but you will have many. Also I passed pharm with a 89.4 without reading the book and just consentrating on the notes. I do not recommend that but now because they are cutting on the details of the notes because the instructors do expect you to read to the book. Once you are in the nursing program expect to say good bye to everything including sleep and peace of mind. I am currently trying to complete a care plan for L&D and I am drawing a blank so I know I will no sleep night. Also once you are in the program you get assigned a clinical instructor for each subject. If you are lucky you will get Mr. DeLaCruz for fundamentals and she is very easy with the grading but is you get Mrs MC get ready to no sleep. Pediactrics is very hard but I did manage to pass it with a B. I would recommend to buy the book 2 months before class starts and start reading because you will not pass that class if you don't read and you need to read the entire book in about 6 weeks and you will get tested 5 times within 8 weeks. For some funny reason I have been stuck with the thoughest instructors but some people are lucky and get the easy going ones... is just your luck. Mrs Grant, Mrs. Smith, Mrs Wooten, and Mrs. Mosqueta are one of my favorite instructors but beware if you get stuck with Mrs. Rolle, Mrs. Oby, Mrs McCarthy. I really like the program and I have made good friends... I wish you all good luck.
  3. I am a nursing student and I am doing a care plan for L&D. I got my three nursing diagnosis but I don't have any outcomes or interventions.... Here there are: 1. Pain related to uterine contractions as evidence by pain rating of 6-10 Goal-CW cope with uterine contractions 2. Impaired skin integrety related to infant passage though birth canal as evidence by cervical dilation goal-CW maintain skin integrity 3. Riskfor infection related to rupture membranes as evidence by leakage of aminiotic fluid and I don't have any outcome criteria or interventions and for some wierd reason every book store or library are out of Maternal Nursing care plan books. Can you all please suggest some outcome criteria... Please.
