@ronvil & bigbrother88 hello there! just want to ask if both agencies you've mentioned before require that their applicants be currently working in a hospital setting? do they also deploy nurses to nursing homes not just hospitals in UK? thanks!

hello AD2008! the initial requirements are the usual documents like tor, diploma, board rating, and yes certificate of employment...but they didn't specify the required lenghth of hospital experience..as to the specific region in Canada the employers will be coming from, I have no idea, i just overheard the info from someone when I submitted my docs..may i know how did you go about applying for work in Canada without any help from an agency?..sounds like a tideous process..

hi sknurse07! i was wondering if you could share your experience with mercan while you were still applying to work there. it's been 3 months since i submitted my application documents and still no call from them...i am thinking they will not consider me otherwise they would have called me..I heard there will be employers coming this Jan 2009, i think they conduct an orientation before the employers arrive... please help...any advice? many thanks!

hi qcaj! just want to ask u some questions if it's ok....I applied at mercan too last feb 2008 but i took the ielts exam just this october, so technically i have completed the initial applicant's requirements just this october...i haven't received any call from them or email...it's been three months, what do u think? am i rejected? i would like to know, how was your initial experience with them? many thanks!

thanks suzzane:)...what would you suggest me to fax them, just a personal letter stating my predicament? do i need to send them also a proof that i passed nclex last 2004 (the only one i have is a one page copy from NCSBN Pearson Vue quick result). God bless!

hi there! it's been 7 months and I haven't received anything from New Jersy BON. I am really worried that they already destroy or discard my NCLEX result last 2004. If you could spare me some minutes of your time, I would like to ask how do I update my personal information in their file so that my record will remain active. Many thanks!

Hi tiurichard, Thanks for the good news. I was really worried that I may have to sit for NCLEX again. Same thing with me, I only have the copy from Pearsonvue quick result as my proof that I pass the Nclex. I actually sent an email few days ago to NJ BON. I told them about my predicament and asked them to keep my record in their file. I am still waiting for a reply. May I know the exact person (and email ad) from NJ BON who's been answering your queries and requests? How do you update your information in their file and how often? Sure, I'll let you know once I receive a reply from them. Thanks.

I just sent an email to NJ BON to ask about my status. Hope to receive a reply from them soon. THANK YOU SO MUCH Suzanne4 & KYCNM :) If it's not too much...I would also like to ask if I need to renew my visa screen certificate (I got it last 2003). I heard it has to be renewed after five years. But I already receive a notice of receit from the National Visa Center. Does this mean I don't have to apply for renewal of my visa screen since my papers are already at NVC?

Actually I went thru New Jersey BON. Also, I didn't get any letter thru mail stating I passed the exam. My agency didn't inform me as well as to whether they did get a letter informing me that I passed the NCLEX (because they are the one who applied for my NCLEX exam).I have no idea if Pearson-Vue mailed some proof to NJ BON that I passed the exam. I was wondering how the system works? "NCLEX results do not expire per se, but if the application and file are no longer in existance for you, then the exam results are no longer available to anyone." --if I re-apply(or my agency) at NJ BON would the result be available then? I mean it's hard to imagine that nclex results do not expire but would be no longer availabe if the initial application expires. Please help. Thanks!

Hi there! I passed the NCLEX 4 years ago (2004) but I'm still here in the Philippines because of retrogression. Is there any expiration for NCLEX exam? I don't have a license yet, my agency told me that the only time I will get hold of it is when I get to US. The only proof I have that I passed the exam is the form I downloaded from pearsonvue website. Since I cannot get the real license at the moment, can I apply for a temporary license? If yes, what are the requirements? Please help. Many thanks!
