My husband is in the military also. I'm from orange county area, but my husband is originally from Texas too! We're going to be stationed in Lemoore. I know its a long drive to school though. I'm currently applying for the public health nurse position. I have an interview in May. If i get the job I'm not sure about school anymore. Did you apply for the military spouse scholarship?

Help, Interview coming up for PHN
Hi I have an interview coming up next month for PHN for the County. I was just wondering, does anyone have any suggestions for how I could better prepare myself for the interview? I'm normally horrible at interviews. This is basically my dream job so I don't want to mess it up. My background info: I've been working as the nurse for almost 4 years now. I have experience working with all different ages and populations. The first 2 years, I mainly worked as a sexual assault nurse (SART), so I completed women, children and male examinations along with law enforcement. And then the next 1 1/2 almost 2 years, I've been working at an adult day health care center, mainly health education, calling dr for referrals etc (mostly with geriatric war refugee population).

Okay....I've read so many threads about bad things about HPU, and now i'm scared. I'm from the mainland....in general southern california, I've recently been accepted into HPU. I'm thinking about accepting mainly because I have applied to other schools and been waitlisted ...waiting and waiting is so tiring. I'm still missing a couple of the prequisites, but have finished almost all of the real science courses....can someone tell me somethign to reassure me about my decision to jump the gun and move to hawaii to go to HPU? I feel like i have no more options, and this is it. I can't say I'm rich, it would be mostly student loans. I like to think that I'm extremely dedicated so it's not really if the profs don't teach, I can teach myself I guess. I believe that at most Univerisities professors often say one thing and test and everything else. Will i learn enough to practice is what I'm asking.....? reassurance needed plz.
