  1. Hello- I am very seriously thinking about becoming an LPN, then bridging over to an RN then down the road, I would love to be a midwife or NP. The reason why I am doing it this way is because I am a mother to a small boy and I do not have the time to take 4 years out right now to just do classes. I need a job a lot sooner than that. Has anyone ever done something like this and how did it go? I think this might be a great way to build my career, one step at a time- and still be in the medical field and making a good career for me and my son. Any opinions and suggestions are much appreciated. Also what LPN schools would you suggest. I can only find private schools (branford,Lincoln Tech,P&C). I actually quit Lincoln Tech earlier this year while taking Medical assistanting classes, for 2 reasons 1- the school was not what i expected and it was horrible. 2- I figured it was a step down for the price and time I was putting into it, I could have just done the LPN program :twocents: Just my 2 cents :)
