Hi, Right now, I don't have a work Visa. I am here on a temporary visa (TS) with a working husband who is on TN. I am confused now. What is the process of starting working in NJ as an RN. My understanding is that I should get the Visa Screen first, but what then? Should I start interviewing without having a proper NJ license? Should I get a work visa first? Please elaborate. Thanks! Hi, I am Katia and moved to NJ recently from Canada. I have almost completed the VISA screen process for NY state and I am confused about what happens next. I got the RN application by endorsement (I have NY license). They ask to provide SIN number which I don't have. My question is-what happens after I receive the VISA screen certificate? What should I do with it? I am planning to work in Chatham/Summit/Madison area (07928) in MS/NICU. Which hospitals have higher salaries and how well do they treat their employees? Melissa, here is more info: The 6 months requirement is for tourists and for Canadian residents who don't have a working visa. If you are authorized to work and live in the states, you can stay here as long as the visa is valid. One thing to note is that it is going to be hard to get a mortgage in the states because Canadians don't have US credit history and the Canadian credit history is irrelevant. Becoming US resident strips you from Canadian health benefit as far as I know, but you can get the health care back once you become Canadian resident again.

I just found your mail, I didn't know I have an inbox in here :) Regarding your questions: I don't really know anything about mortgages, but probably we'll get green card, this way, I guess, we can take a mortgage. About OHIP-I just did an address change there, you download a pdf where you have to mark for how long are you going away. If you go permanently-you lose your OHIP, there is an option to keep it if you intend to work in US for a short period of time only. Hope, that helps somehow...

Hi, I am Katia and I have been looking for information on NCLEX on various sites, however I didn't find anything about these 2 issues: 1. I was thinking on doing the NCLEX but I am not sure yet when I am going to relocate to US. So my question is: can I write the exam now and still stay and work in Canada or I have to start working in US in order to maintain my licence validity. Hi, I'm a new graduated RN nurse (international). I am going to write CNAt on June, there are some questions I'd like to know the answer: 1. What is the passing score on the exam? I called CNO-they told me that the passing score is being changed every year according to the exam"s difficulty, it supposed to be evaluated according to Gauss curvature. However I really want to know at least approximate passing score. If anyone can answer me or at least tell what score you achieved and passed so I'll know where is the line? 2. Any tips about questions?I studied according to NCLEX? Does CNAT have the same style of questions? Thanks in advance, Katia.
