  1. Just to put things in perspective -- I work at a small upstate hospital - waaaay upstate - above Syracuse. You can see my experience. I'm getting $25.50/hr. That's about $50,000/yr. The cost of living here has NYC beat by a long shot. Hospitals in Syracuse make just a bit more than me. And this is why I am seriously considering legal nurse consulting.
  2. Did you check out Sallie Mae.com? Also your local bank may have a student loan program. Good luck. There is a rainbow ahead.
  3. Did I understand you to say that you have not had any orientation time with your current charge nurse? I suppose that could happen... Don't hesitate to call on those who said they would be available for you. Just keep your eyes & ears open, you've made it this far, I'm sure you'll do fine. It is just another aspect of your job.
