  1. Hi The best bet is to apply to ACRO for a police certifcate £35, this is the cert needed when you apply for visa, the info on the certificate has everything that has been leagally logged ie convictions. It takes ten days and you receive it through the post, that way you can see what info is held and know what to include on your application for permit. Hope this helps,
  2. Hi Just an update to my post, I have found the info I needed and if anyone needs the information about nursing in Greece please email me... In short you need to apply for a license to practice and also have to sit a Greek language/writing exam. The Greek Nursing association is The Hellenic Nurses' Association at www.esne.gr I would still like to hear from Nurses currently working in Greece, many thanks Jane :wink2:
  3. Hi All This article was put up in our staff room......What the Times forgot to mention was that the man complaining was a former Drug addict! wonder how he would have reacted to that being slurred all over the page? We all know it happens on the rare occasion, you would think an educated person would complain to the ward sister not 'go public' I suspect an alterior motive was behind his reason for involving the press! tut tut
  4. Hi All I would like to know if anyone can advise me on working as an English Nurse in Greece. I am hoping to move out to Thessaloniki when I am fluent in Greek. I cannot find any web sites to give me the info I need. If anyone has any links to the Greek Nursing Boards, jobs etc I would be very grateful. I currently work as an Emergency Nurse Practitioner / Senior Sister A&E, I have 13yrs experience and am trained at degree level. I am hoping to work in a Medical Center and utilise my minor injury/illness skills, is this possible. I also would like to know what the pay is like. If any Greek Nurses happen to read this please give me your advice on what would be most suitable for my skills etc P.S I am not expecting to make lots of money for luxury things, my family and I are looking for a better quality of life and time together.:wink2:
