  1. Also FYI, I have a 4.0 in the program, so I am not whining because I am failing. I am just seriously concerned with the quality of education.
  2. This is a post bachelors NP program. It is a mix of nurses who have worked in the ICU for years, and also new BSN grads. The RN's who have years of experience are not doing any better than the new grads.
  3. Hi all!! I am in desperate need of some help. I currently in an NP program that is sucking my will to live. I was accepted to vanderbilt last year, but chose to come here instead. The program I am in now has a 50% attrition rate, (only 11 students out of 20 left after 1.5 semesters, including me) morale is low, and the administration doesnt do anything about it. Out of the 3 graduates from last years program, 2 are working as bedside nurses because they dont feel qualified enough/cant find jobs, and the other one is going to med school. I feel like Im on American idol, every week I come back to class there are fewer people. Anyway, I am trying to convince Vanderbilt to take me back, but I dont want to sound like the only reason I want to come back is because of how horrible my current program is. If anyone has any info on Vandy's attrition rate, satisfaction rate, jobs after graduation rate, info on the program director...etc..anything you feel like adding. I have to write the director of Vandy a letter detailing why she should take me back, and I really want her to know that I have done research on Vandy and am making a clear decision that is not based solely on my dissatisfaction of my current program. THANKS SO MUCH!!!
