Hello all, I am soon be a new graduate with an ADN. I am excepting a position into a 18 bed CCU/ICU at a fairly small hospital. I have 5 years of CNA experience and have worked as an extern since May 08 in the ER and CCU at this particular hospital. I would like some opnions from those who have perhaps been new grads in the same position as myself. I know this transition will be difficult, but this is where I want to work and I am up for the challenge. The two major concerns I have are not knowing enough about the major drugs that are pushed and hung everyday and also physician communication. I assume every new grad has these fears and many more. However this hospital has a wonderful 5 month orientation as well as an EKG class and other cricital care classes. Any input is greatly appreciated. Although I am not doubting my decision, I know this is where I want to be and I know that I can suceed with a little help.
