  1. I work in small 8-10 person residences for persons with developmental and psychiatric disabilities and RNs assigned to each residence (I have 3)are expected to be on call for telephone triage 24/7 through home or private cell phones If the direct care (read non nursing) staff is unable to reach "their nurse" directly, the company's on call cell must be used for an RN response within 10 mins. The RN on call list rotates about 2x/yr amongst the residence RNs and I have been too insulted to even ensure that I have been paid the paltry (I think its $1oo) amt offered thus far. Full time work in the assigned residences continues while the mandatory 2wk 24/7 no pay on call duty is undertaken! I can't believe that we work for this either and can't believe that nonone else rotating with me sees this as a labor issue!
