  1. Sadly, Only one style of scrub top! And an XS is huge! Scrubs always run big
  2. Congratulations StarBelly! Mochi, I will be at the new student welcome! see you there!
  3. I'm not sure about the Kaiser Scholorship, but I'm sure if you call SMU's financial aid office, they can tell you. I'm in need of a huge loan now. I will make an appoingment with SMU's financial aid department, but has anyone else already gotten a loan? If so, What loan did you get? Unfortunatly I didn't qualify for anything with the FAFSA
  4. Congratulation SStarr003! We waited FOREVER! Did they give you the acceptance packet of information when you were there? I still need to ask them to send me mine.
  5. I got accepted into San Mateo! I had to call cuz I didn't get anything in the mail. The lady in admissions had to grab my file. She told me a copy of the accpetance letter was in my file and that she didn't know why I didn't receivve it yet. For those of you still waiting, you may need to call too!

  7. 2lRoberts - I've taken two types of Phsycology classes. General Psych AND Lifespan Psych. SMU requires that you take a Phychology class that covers the entire life span from birth to death. Hopes this helps!
  8. I'm going nuts waiting for my envelope to come. I keep wondering in my head if I was good enough to be in the ABSN program... For everyone that got accpted, I'm wondering the following questions. 1. What is your experience in Health Care? ie, do you volunteer or work in HC? 2. What did you write about in your paper? 3. Who wrote your letters of Rec? A Professor? Nurse? Boss?. I'm just curious because I'm pretty clear about what the expected GPA and NET scores are. Everyone that gets in gets good marks in those areas... but I'm wondering maybe I messed up some place else? Any information that you accepted ones can share would be very valuable to me. Thank you all! And wish the rest of us luck :)
  9. sstarr003... You're not alone. Nothing for me yet either. Anyone else got anything? I'm hoping it's taking long because the envelope is big! LOL.
  10. hi starr003, i only know of sf people who got their letters in early february. most of the people i know who got accepted to other campuses got their letters on tuesday or wendesday of last week. they said their acceptance letters were dated for last monday, march 2nd. i'm still waiting also. it's agonizing.... i just got an email from lizzie saying: your decision letters went out either friday morning or this morning. if you have not received your letter by march 16th please email me and let me know. my two friends who got put on a waiting list got their letters on saturday. i hope the letters going out today are acceptance packets! good luck to all of us still waiting :)
  11. Hi All I'm still waiting too! A friend of mine who got an acceptance letter for San Mateo said the letter was dated for Monday and she recived it on Tuesday. She lives in the peninsula, so that letter got there pretty fast. I'm hoping and praying I get in. Good luck to us all... and If anyone (unfortunatly) gets a rejection or waitlist letter, please let us know! One of my friends just got a rejection letter, but I'm pretty sure she applied for San Francisco, since she lives there. The San Francisco cohort, if you haven't been reading this thread, got their letters early February and had to respond by late February. For the regular BSN program, I got my waitlist letter 2 weeks after my friend got his acceptance letter... I was number 6 on the regular BSN waitlist. I'm guessing if we get waitlist letters, it would be around the same time frame. I ended up not getting into the program. Good luck to us all!
  12. Congratulations Nursetobein2010! I'm so happy for you! If anyone got anything for San Mateo, please alert us! Thanks! Good luck to us all!
  13. dmskoka! Congratulations! I'm so excited for you! Was Oakland your first choice???
  14. Nothing for me yet! AHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!! So nervous! Good Luck Everyone! Lets keep each other posted on the letters we get!
  15. Well, My cousin got accepted to the SF cohort for Summer 2009 and it was her 1st time applying... she wasn't a waitlist person from last year. I know for a fact because I was the one who told her about the ABSN program at SMU in the first place. I don't understand why she was chosen for an early acceptance. It kills me that she got in and I haven't gotten anything but emails from Lizzie saying that we have to wait longer and that notices havent been set out yet... when in fact they HAVE! I don't understand their addmissions process. But what can we do? I feel so helpless. Those of you who got acceptance letters, do you mind sharing your stats with us? GPA? NET Scores? Experience? I'm just curious what it takes to get accepted early.
  16. I just got that email too... Frustrating huh? I'm so nervous... my heart pounds every time i check my mailbox. I asked Lizzie why my cousin already got accepted and she replied... "She got an early acceptance". I didn't want to email her again asking what that means. I didn't want to be annoying. Did anyone get accepted to San Mateo yet? good luck to us all!
  17. My cousin just got accepted to the San Francisco Location. I'm still waiting for 1) SF 2) SM 3) OAK. Sounds like the only people who are getting their letters so far is SF. If anyone gets accepted to San Mateo or Oakland, please keep us posted! My fingers are crossed for all of us! Good luck :)
  18. My Cousin just got accepted to the San Francisco Location! I'm still waiting! The wait is still killing me! Did anyone out there get an acceptance letter for San mateo? San Mateo is my first choice.
  19. Congratulations to everyone who got accepted! I'm thrilled for you! Would any of you mind sharing your stats? and experience? I am still waiting to hear from San Mateo. The wait is KILLING ME !
  20. Hi Mochi57, I'm not sure what campus she got accepted at, but when I find out I'll let you know. San Mateo was my first choice too! Good luck to us both! Let me know as soon as you hear anything :)
  21. Hi All, A friend of mine just told me one of our friends got into the program at Samuel Merritt. She too just applied for this Summer. Did anyone else out there get an acceptance????? I'm still praying and crossing my fingers!
  22. Hi Hellophuo21, CONGRATULATIONS! You got your acceptance packet back really fast! Did you also turn in your application for the November 1st 08 Deadline? Or did you apply for the earlier deadline? I hope to be one of your classmates! When do yu start?
  23. Hi... First time poster here! Does anyone know if SCM requires tons of hours of Volunteer Service? I plan to apply in October, but I don't work in the health care field and I have not volunteered at any hospitals. I'm currently looking for a hospital to volunteer at. I tried calling Mills Peninsula in Burlingame and they are very unresponsive. I'm a bit worried now, because when I visited with a councelor, she told me I should be fine too. I have pretty good grades.. mostly A's, a few B's and one C. I'm pretty sure my last 60 is well above 3.0. Any advice from anyone would be great. Any volunteer suggestions would be great too! I live in San Mateo.. plan to apply for the San Mate campus :) Hope to hear from you guys!
