Israeli RN - need HELP!!!!
Hi Everyone, I am an Israeli RN with 2 years experience. I have signed a contract with a cornerstone hospital in Austin TX last October. it is a 2 years contract with 22.45$ an hour. Relocation package is not great. Since then the hospital has changed management and 3 fascilities closed. I am terrified and need your opinion - are the terms offered reasonable? should I worry about the fact hospital has changed hands? and what is going on with the retrograsion? they tell me it should take about 12 months untill my visa is approved - makes sense? Thank you for your input

Help please- where can I find entry level jobs?
Hi Suzanne, I actually live very close to Natanya and it is a beautiful city by the sea. Have you ever been in Israel? where are you from? what field of nursing are you involved with? As for your questions, I passes the English exams and registeres to both NCLEX (California) and CGFNS in order to keep all options open. I also think the Ca NCLEX caneasily be endorsed to any other state. As I understand from other's experiance ATT from CA board of registered nursing takes about 4 months in comparance to a year in NY. I hope if I pass it won'ttake more than 6-8 months to find a job and have my green card arranged. I pray this will be the case...

Help please- where can I find entry level jobs?
already registered to take both CGFNS and NCLEX. I have completed my education in Israel and had my 4 months internship at the PICU. I am also working at a mother-baby health center and just love it! Since I have a family who depends on me I am trying to minimize the uncertainties and to plan things the best way I can so as to save time and be able to move before my 5 year old goes to school in a year time. I am also trying to get as much info as possible in order to make a decision about the preffered location. So far I'm looking mainly into California (bay area). I read about the hardships of new commers to the nursing world and I can only imagine it will be as twice as difficult for me as a new immigrant... Hope it will all turn well...
