  1. Hey Dave, I will be starting In May also. I am finishing up my biology degree at Oakland and planning a wedding for April 24th, so things are a little crazy right now. I know there is a facebook group if you are interested, I think if you search OU Accelerated BSN 2010 you should find it. I am very excited and nervous to start the program, but I know it will be worth it! Hopefully I will get to say hi at orientation on tuesday. Congrats on everyone that has been accepted and good luck to those of you who are applying or waiting to get in! -Chris
  2. I asked them how accelerated students are viewed compared to traditional. They said that accelerated are definently preferred.
  3. Hey berns10, I thought I could give you some information on my interview. I was first asked to wirte a paragraph about a nursing situation, there is technically no correct answer just show that you can support your decision. I was then interviewed for about 25 minutes and asked general questions about what i think nursing is and what I plan to achieve with a career in nursing. The interviewers were very nice and down to earth, they are very relaxed and want you to be as well. I just recieved an email 3 days ago telling me that I had been accepted. Good luck and feel free to ask me anything else. I'm sure wannabenurse will respond soon, she helped me a lot to prepare for my interview.
  4. Hey D, Thanks for the encouragement! I'm sorry that I did not PM you back, for some reason it won't let me. Maybe I need to upgrade my membership? lol Anyways, the interview went very well and the woman who walked me out said I did very well. So I am pretty excited! Congrats on the wedding, I am going to be proposing to my gf this summer! Thanks for telling me about your interview, I felt much more prepared for the interview after reading what you had said. I hope that we will be in the same class! Good luck with all the other schools! -Chris
  5. Hi wannabenurse84, Congrats on your acceptance, that is great! I have an interview tomorrow for the same cohort and I was wondering if you could tell me how your interview went and anything to expect. I would really aprreciate it! Once again, congratulations. Hopefully we will be in the same class.
  6. I am currently a senior working on a B.A. in Biology with aspirations to become a CRNA. I am planning on starting an accelerated BSN program when I graduate, working in the ICU for a while, then hopefully attending CRNA school. My concern is that the money has caused so many people to apply to these programs, that people who really want to be a CRNA for other reasons will either not be able to or will have to wait a long time. I wanted to get people's opinion on whether the salary possibility has caused too large of a flood of applicants to CRNA programs that in the upcoming years you will have to have a 4.0 to even be considered. I guess my only hope is that many people may quit once they see how difficult regular nursing can be, plus I am just too damn stubborn to give up my dream. I would love to hear what you guys think the future of applying to CRNA school will be like.
