Thanks Reneeann25. I did do a gram test and capsule test sorry I forgot to mention those. I will ask my teacher if we have the hemolysis test available. Good luck on your final, ours is in 2 weeks, I can't wait!

Hi Everyone, I need some help. Our teacher requires us to do 2 confirmatory tests to confirm our unknown once we think we know what it is. I have had a lot of problems with all of my tests and she thinks mine may be contaminated. She pretty much gave me the answer to what mine is and even gave me other students cultures that had the same unknown as me (since she thinks mine are contaminated) and she wants me to run 2 confirmatory tests but I can't find any to do. I have done: Oxidase Glucose oxidized Growth at 40 degrees Litmus milk Fluorescents test (where you hold it under uv light and see if it glows) But the last 3 are not coming out right please tell me what other tests I can do. Thanks!

And so it ends...I got my rejection letter today too. The long 3 month wait is finally over. I too would be curious what made someone a candidate for an interview if those that got in would not mind sharing. Congrats by the way to all those that made it! My only complaint about this whole process is the long wait. Putting my life on hold for 3 months not knowing where I would be in the Fall was tough. Good luck to everyone in your future endeavors!

Thanks for updating maybemaybenot, it's good to hear at least someone else got an interview. I hope you get good news next week. Who did you interview with? What type of questions did they ask? Did they give you any idea how many people were invited for interviews. Just curious how it all went? Thanks!

Well kids, still nothing from CSUN. It is really disappointing that the process has taken this long. At this point I obviously know that I am not getting in since I have not gotten my interview call but it just would have been nice to know that I was not even being considered say maybe oh 2 months ago or so. I am sure they narrowed it down pretty early on so don't I understand why they just kept us hanging on this long? I am actually surprised that no one from our thread got in. We only know of one interview and that person never posted after that. Several people stopped posting so we don't really know if anyone else got an interview/got in. Oh, well. We will probably get our rejections in the mail next week. Best of luck to everyone who still has apps pending elsewhere. CSUN is the only place I applied so this is it for me for this round. It is disappointing but I guess just not meant to be for now. Maybe I will try Mount St Mary's for the Spring... Too bad all these programs are so darn competitive! Kathliz, I saw on another thread that you are on the CSUF waitlitst congrats! Perhaps that will work out for you after all

ok, so I decided I would give it a shot and call them again. They said the process is being completed right now and will be done within the next week. So sort of the same info we have been hearing. I don't feel very hopeful at this point since I have not even gotten a call for an interview I don't know that I will. But oh well, just having the whole wait be over will be a relief. Those that have interviewed, please post your experience, it will be good to know for future applications if I don't make it this time. Good luck everyone!

Nothing yet. But FYI Passion I took lifespan last summer through ITV and it was a super easy class and only 8 weeks. You only have to go to campus one day a week for 3 hours and the rest is home study. HPH! As for this selection process not sure what the heck is happening. I sure hope the selection for Fall does not drag into the summer...

Hmm...interesting that they actually called to tell you . That's pretty cool that they took the time to call you. I wonder if they are personally calling all applicants. So it sounds like they are still working on Summer? Did they give you any idea about getting in for Fall if you do take that class in Summer?

Wow, finally we hear of an interview! Congratulations!!!!! From what I understand they have not interviewed for Summer yet. It sounds that way from the many people on the board that have been calling CSUN. They said they will work on the Summer cohort first and then move on to Fall so maybe that is what your interview is for, how exciting!!! Please post every excrutiating detail so that we can join in your excitement. What day are you going? Did they tell you if it is a comittee interview or just with the Director? Has anyone else gotten a call?? If so did you apply for Summer, Fall, or both? Congrats again, I am waiting impatiently to hear about your experience!

That's what I was thinking too Lillian. Since several of us have called if they had sent out notifications they would have told us. I can't wait until this is over, it is so stressful.

I also got a color letter but in January which was to the University and it came in a bigger envelope. Please double check and let us know if it is to the university or to the department. Because as of yesterday someone here called the dept and they said they had not sent anything yet. Thanks!

Veruca you were admitted to the A-BSN program? How were you notified by letter or phone call? When did you hear? Did you interview? Was it for Fall or Summer? You can't just leave us hanging we are all waiting to hear!!!!!

I know what you mean, I keep looking for that envelope in the mail. But perhaps that is what they will use for the interview/admission notification?

There is a good 10 - 15 of us on this board so I am sure at least one of us would be called for an interview if and when they do make the calls so we should know when something happens right?
