  1. I am traveling with my S.O. and it compounds the problem for us. We were hoping for Florida and/or South Carolina as we have our children living in those areas. We have expanded our searching to West Coast and the Mid-West just to be sure we will be employed for the Holidays. The idea of "retreating" to a staff position, though does not sound appealing, may be a smart move. At least until the Administrators of the nation's hospitals ride out this "bump in the road" aka recession. We plan on trying to keep applying and have been offered to stay here, but not something we are wanting so we will be elsewhere come Christmas. Anyone have any advice about travel nursing in California? Good luck to all of you too. :typing

Hello to all who wish to read this and hope you follow my future posts and welcome your insights, opinions and constructive criticisms. To start off with a bit about me.... I am a 47 year old male RN of 10 years. Two ex-wives and three grown children later, I am ready to see the country and work with other people. It appears Virginia will be my first state I will meet new people in and I am very excited as I start this new path on my life's journey. I can not say I have no worries, but I am an optimistic soul and adapt very well to things. Any insights are welcome and I will keep this link going with my experiences and exploits:typing. Take care and be well, The Traveler:saint:
