  1. Credentialing Question

    I have been given a conditional job offer for a new position with local hospital. Credentialing services is insisting on contacting my current employer to request reference of competency. I fear the consequences of them doing so without a guaranteed offer. However I was told it must be done. How would you handle this?

    How do you deal with insulting comments from patients about being an NP? Normally I can shake it off but lately it has really been getting to me. A patient told me today that I was "just a nurse" and she wanted a doctor. Appreciate any feedback to help me deal with this better and not let it get to me.
