Dissertation- Help with my chosen topic and CAM
I am looking at doing quantitative, using online questionair to analyse my data. This site is invaluable for those of us who are novices in our nursing and we would be doomed without the help of your good selves. I at last have some good litriture to read all afternoon now :redbeathe... Once again thank you x

Dissertation- Help with my chosen topic and CAM
:)Hi all, firstly thank you for visiting this post to see if you can help me with my literature review I am currently doing my dissertation research, (proposal only). I have chose to conduct "A study into whether complementary and alternative therapy is incorporated into the treatment regime for the early onset to cancer of the lung". I have introduced my topic and its aims and objectives. However, when I am searching literature on this subject I can find very little if anything that has been done on it, I seem to have found a gap which is a good point but, being an undergraduate I may be conducting my search wrongly? I do have a supervisor but due to being in practice at this moment in time, I am finding it quite difficult to contact her. It is therefore that I have come to this site to see if there are any CAM nurses or Lung and palliative care nurses that can point me in the right direction please. This is only an 8000 word proposal but I am finding this so difficult. Thank you in advance for any suggestions or guidance on this topic.

Should I give up or keep going?!
If you have met all the requirements, apply. You have nothing to loose but lots to gain. Please don't let all your hard work go to waste Your probably at that stage where we all come across at some point, and believe me you will have the same feelings throughout your nurse training. Good luck, and be positive xxx

Confused!!
Hi all, With 5 degree assignments on the go (all due in April) and starting placement this week, it is hard to book a time to see my module leader again for an essay that I am working on. I am currently working on my Holistic Care Planning across the age continuum assignment. My chosen topic for this assignment is the care for a [real] male patient whom has undergone a colostomy procedure for colon cancer. This operation culminated in the formation of a colostomy, which has resulted in a permanent stoma site on the left had side of his abdomen. The focus of his holistic care plan is based upon him being unable to accept his surgery and the need to adapt to wearing the colostomy pouch in situ. So far I feel I am on the right tracks with it, but I am hesitant on going any further until I know I am ..Would someone who is knowledgeable in this kind of nursing or just generally good at care plans please be kind enough to read the 1,172 words to see if it is flowing right and to make sure I ain't on a tangent :redbeathe:nurse::redbeathe I am not familer with this site as it's been two years since I last logged in, so please bear with me on replying back Thanks in advance to you super genius nurses xxx Jo xxx
