I am so confused .. I am blessed with two children , a 4 year old and a 6 year old. I am also 31 weeks pregnant. I was enrolled in my pre- nursing courses in the spring. I finished that semester. Well because of my current condition I didn't think it was wise to enroll for fall. ( I'm due 10/25/10) . I thought maybe I could enroll online, so I began that process. Well Over the past several weeks things have gotten financially difficult. My Husband Real Estate Business is not doing well. So he has put pressure on me to find some type of employment. So I t has forced me to put school on hold. About a week ago I found a school that was giving an 11 month nursing course. I would have to attend school from 7am to 3:30 pm . I wanted to start this in December. But my husband feels that we need to make money first. I currently hold a license as a Certified Medical Assistant , But no one's hiring one at 31 weeks pregnant. I feel like if I could just finish nursing school i could create the stability my family needs. My husband feels that I'm not making enough contribution to the home. In these economic times 2 people should be working. My husband wants to pursue another business venture. I feel he should do that part- time and work full time . Has anyone on this forum juggled school , work , kids, and home? I have no family to help me with my kids(mom , grandma, sister e.t.c) and neither does he( his mother is still working) so I don't know what to do? Just looking for someone who has been there, or is there now , and what advice you can give me to make it through. My heart longs to be a nurse:redbeathe At 35 I dont know how many years I can put it off any longer:eek: Help Someone!!!

  5. thank you so much!!!!! I haven't went to an orientation yet so I don't even know what benefits are being offered!!! I know it is a blessing for a medical assistant to land any hospital job, but I wanna make a the right decision for the future. I start Gloucester County College in the summer for my pre- reqs and I wanted to make sure that this is a hospital I can grow with!!! Have you ever worked for them ? do you know their benefits?
  6. thanks for your reply. I've been a medical assistant for 5 1/2 years and I'm certified. (similar cert. to a lpn) so I have a few job opportunties. I wanted to know about the hospital as a whole, and it's work enviorment. believe it or not certified medical assistants work in some hosppitals as patient care tech or in outpatient depts. :nuke:
