Stopped at 85
I took my boards in Febuary of this yr. I remember being nervous, and what added to it that I went in at 9:00a and finished at 9:42a the computer shut off at 85 questions, I so nauseated going to my car, I thought I had failed for sure, I finished the exam in less than an hour and that it shut off at 85, I even called everyone in my family and told them I failed, two days later I call a number and found out I passed, I am sure you did just fine. Anyone work for a Podiatrist?.......
Its funny how things seem to work, I usually surf this website often, I am having a Bunionectomy done this friday, and I am having a Podiatrist do it, I have heard of people having an ortho surgeon doing it also, I have had twins even and had to have no c-section,and I am scaried to be quite honest, and it does not help out that i am a nurse also. But the nurse that works for my Podiatrist is an RN, and we have become friends, and she has told me that she loves working for a Podiatrist. Have any of you know any one that has had a bunionectomy done before, and if so how do it go?Thanks, Stacy

Anxiety over NCLEX-PN! Help me!
I am graduating this Friday the 14th from the LPN program. I have been studying the Saunders NCLEX over the past few months, the thing is I have no idea where to focus on or what to even expect. I am worried because I start as a GPN on the 17th and the fear of letting everyone down has my stress just overwhelming. Please help me, give me some advice!!!! Sincerely, Stacy

Nurses who let NAs Boss them around
I do not know where to even start with this subject. I can start by saying I am a NA right know and start my core classes this fall for my BSN. It sounds as though you are putting a lot of blame on NA's and management. aren't you written these NA's up? Its not always the NA for turnover for nurses that is a pathetic excuse. Being that I will be able to see both views, I have seen some really terriable nurses and terriable NA's. You all know what are job duties are upon hiring. If your heart is not in it, get out. And I agree the patients are the ones that suffer from this. Nurses complain about all the work they have to do and there pay, well look at the NA's salary? Up their training and their pay, we might find good people to become an NA. But that is not the reason Nurses have such a high turnover! Its also how you approach people and make them feel a part of the team, you lead by example. Anyone in nursing should get payed more then what we do, because we do, do a lot. But take that up with your state legislation.
