  1. How did CA ratio laws get started?

    Hi Suzanne4, I am interested in starting a grassroot campaign for mandated state nursing issues such as patient to nurse ratio, mandatory over-time, overtime pay for hours that are worked over an eight hour shift, etc. How did the campaign in California get started? I feel very strongly about the continuing decline in quality patient care and the hospitals that only care about profit and budgets. It is a sad commentary on our society that healthcare is such a low priority in our government. It is definitely the lobbyist who run our country. Thank you for your insight and help, Donna
