  1. thanks so much for your input, it will be very helpful for my little presentation. i do have a quick question if you dont mind. do all of the nurses in the unit have the same responsibilities or are they separated. I am under the assumption that typically the pre and post procedure responsibilities are taken care of by the same pool of RNs, and that the nurses in on the procedure, typically just work in the procedure rooms--is this correct? thanks again so much for your help, this information is exactly what I was looking for.
  2. i am a nursing student, and i have a project to gather some information about GI lab nursing. I need to know things like the hours you work (the hospital I observed in I think is M-F 7-3ish) and maybe some responsibilities. I want to know about before, during and after procedure responsibilities. If anyone could direct me to a resource to find out salary range for these positions, I could use that info also. Also, is there a certification for this specialty? If you can think of a topic I am overlooking, feel free to fill me in. Thanks for your help, I greatly appreciated it.
