  1. I am currently applying to graduate school to become a FNP. I graduate nursing school 6 years ago. Some of my professors are no longer there. One of my applications needs 3 references one strongly encouraged to be a professor. Do you think it would be ok not to have one? I feel like my professors would not remember me. Or would you contact a former nursing professor via email asking if they would fill out a recommendation?
  2. Currently I work 2nd shift. Our unit is going to 12 hour shifts in October. Due to seniority I got put on days 7am-7pm. But right now my husband is in school for another year or so and is not working. we have a toddler and currently have no daycare. If I move to days it's less pay and I would have to pay for daycare which is about $800-1000 a month. If I got to nights I won't need daycare, but might get less sleep. This would only be for 5 years then I probably would go to days after that. What would you do? Is working nights that bad?
  3. Sorry i meant betadine scrub and paint.
  4. A few dr use this method for their c-sections. I have asked a few charge nurses to show me and they both had way different ways of doing it. How do you use this?
  5. How did you cope on your test day? I know not to study the day before or the day of. I am afraid that I will have major test anxiety when I take NCLEX that will effect my score. Besides breathing into a bag any suggestions? I am taking the test July 2nd. Also what would be a good breakfast the day of? THANKS!
