Hi guys, I have been on this website so much lately, thanks to all of you, its GREAT! I will try to keep this as brief as I can... I am a vet tech with a BSA.:paw: I worked in a clinic for a year, left b/c I have student loans to pay for and no one bothered to tell us in school that the state of KY doesn't require licenses to be VT's, so clinics typically hire fresh high school students and pay them as they train-very cheaply... So in my area, is the case. (not ready to relocate any time soon) Anyway, I grew up wanting to be a vet, (thought I'd rather deal with animals instead of ppl, but that isn't the case-you deal with both) which I became accustomed to. Anyhow, I loved working in the clinical scenario, I have a love and passion for the medical field, science, medicine, treatment, everything of course except overworked, short staffed and underpaid, which to my understanding is a similar case in ns. I have investigated ns, and have faith that I can do it... I want to. I think that the rewards of helping healing ppl and families would be way over what I reaped with animals! I would like opinions on areas of ns that would appeal for someone who works best in conditions: work best w/o supervision expected to make decisions-and take responsibility for them multitasking, but finishes the job- not having to hand it over EVERY 5 min to start something else more urgent I'm not real sure what I am looking for, I just know that when I was in the clinic, if there was someone there with me that was over me, I was much more apt to second guess myself and continually ask questions when I knew but had to have confirmation. I didn't like it when we were slammed with appt and I would start in one room, bring samples out for testing, start the test and then run into another room without ever knowing if my previous room was covered-until either I never heard anything else about it or that doctor come looking for me for results that someone else had finished... just ready to get back into a medical field!!!
