  1. Hi srenn, thank you so much for the information. I realize that you posted this quite a while ago, but I'm now in the same boat as you were. I'm graduating in May from Univ. of Akron with the hopes of moving to Las Vegas. It looks like it is going to be contingent on getting a relocation package, as I can't afford to move myself out there. I've really been looking into St. Rose hospitals, and I hope to get into the ICU. Can you talk a little bit more about the Henderson area, since you've been out there for a few years now? That's probably where I will move to. Thanks for any info, it's always helpful!
  2. Hi all. I'm not sure if this has been addressed in previous threads, and if so, I apologize for the redundancy. My husband and I are moving to the Las Vegas area in early fall. There is so much valuable information about the hospitals there (thanks for that!), and so I was wondering if anyone had insight into University Medical Center. Seems to be the only level 1 trauma center in the state! Any RN's there currently? I can't wait to move there, but there is always an element of "unknowing" when your moving to a new place. I appreciate any information, thanks everyone!!
  3. Ok, I thought it appropriate to post in this particular thread. For quite a while now, I've come home after a long shift, then jump right into a hot shower. While I'm standing there, with my eyes wide open, I hear an alarm of some sort. I think: huh, I wonder what's going on?...wait a minute. I'm standing in my shower! Even after I realize this, I STILL hear them! I know auditory hallucinations are never a good thing, so naturally, I thought maybe I was going crazy. Point to this long story...yay! I'm not crazy! Thank you to everyone who posted they're 'crazy' storys! (makes me feel a wee bit better!)
