  1. From what I understand from an ER nurse already stationed at Tripler... brand new nurses get moved around to all the different major areas of concentration for nurses so that they can decide where they want to be. I am not sure how long this is done, but I already know I want to be ER, Trauma, or ICU. My future plans that I want to do is Nurse Anesthetist. I am hoping that my commander will work with me and send me to Critical Care course as soon as "Armyly" possible. That way I can get my year of critical care under my belt and apply for their CRNA Program. I too have been in the Army for the last 8 years. Half of that time was reserves... so I am a little concerned and nervous about attending basic all over again AND trying to incorporate new nursing knowledge/skills. UGH! It makes me so nervous. So now that I have unleashed all that on you... I already live here on the island if you need help with getting around when you first come out here or finding a house and such, I can help you if you like. Aloha, Karen
  2. Hi everyone. I am a newly graduated nurse. I will be attending OBLC March 23rd. I also will be stationed at Tripler. I am excited to meet you all... especially you NewMeAfter45. Did you all see that we will have roommates if you are CPT and below? Does this apply to either of you?
