  1. I went with a permanent position at Kapiolani instead. I started about 9 months ago. I think you are looking at the date of this article incorrectly. It was posted a year ago. Are you on assignment at Tripler? You will love Hawaii. If you want in other living tips just email me.
  2. Thank you for the information. It is a relief to hear because that is exactly where I got a job. I start July 7th. We are in the middle of our final preparations for the move and it is CRAZY! Are you from the mainland or Hawaii born or from some other exotic country?
  3. Were you offered a stipend in liue of the housing? My husband will be going with me. What is your payscale and travel money?
  4. I called Kapiolani Medical Center for Women and Children in Honolulu and got their go between company name Medefis. Called them and got Core Medical Group, Nightengale, and American Mobile are the companies they use. Does anyone know or have you worked for these companies? How were you treated? How was the housing and pay? My husband and I are relocating to Honolulu and I am trying to get a job with Kapiolani. I thought this might be a good alternative.
  5. Does anyone know what travel companies are used by the hospitals in Hawaii? Does anyone have comments about Medstaff? and/or Tripler Hospitals NICU?
  6. Does anyone know of NICU opportunities in Hawaii other than Honolulu? We are moving in July and I would like to live on one of the neighbor islands; but, all I have found is Honolulu. Any information would be great. I also we would be willing to do general nursery. (This is also posted under Hawaii nurses)
  7. I am currently an NICU nurse in Southern California. My husband and I are moving to Hawaii in July-that much is for sure-which island is not. I am attempting to determine if Honolulu is my only option. Is there NICU or general nursery opportunities on the other islands. I would appreciate any help on this issue.
