  2. I've finished all my requsite classes both pre/co and it's nothing like the test questions I've encountered in nursing. How can I help myself into critical thinking? Its not a straight answer question because it's not like a yes or no questions, it's more of a judgemental question and it happens a lot. How can help myself to improve my critical thinking during the nursing exams? :icon_roll
  3. Hi and welcome. I'm a student or was a student taking associates degree for nursing and I've been admitted to the nursing program in New York City College of technology in fall of 06. Unfortunately bad luck has struck and didn't do well. I've been kicked out of the program with a D in NU103***(my mistake i said nu101 before) and a B in Medication Calculations. Until now Fall 07 I'm still trying to figure out what to do. Even my parents worries about it but they can't understand the competition that goes along with it. I told them it's competitive and they say "Why can't they let you have a chance in getting in after all you did good and pass all your requisites and only failed once with the nursing...why can't they let you in. That's impossible." They've been always comparing to my friends and family who also is in the program or graduated from the program that lowered my dignity. I've been trying to find other schools that can accept me back in but they said I have a very low chance of getting back in because of that D. My dignity level is low and my mind is blindly looking for a miracle. During that same semester also had anatomy and physiology 2 so basically I was taking 3 classes in which is part-time and I lost my health insurance because of it. Now I can't even volunteer at a health place to gain a bit of experience needed because I can't enter without a check-up which I can't do because I lost my health insurance. I've been told that if you have volunteer somewhere in the health fields, you have a better chance of getting back in with their recommendation. I'm lost in the sea of chaos with my parents complaining/worrying, in searching of a school/a way back into the nursing program, my health insurance and as well as worrying about my own future. What should I do? Can someone please help. -Thank You for taking your time and reading my post-
