Hi RNinRI, Do you still live in RI or did you move to CT? Do you think there is a shelter in RI that is hiring I would also like to work with children? After graduation do you feel med/surg is the best way to go and if so did the shelter require that you have med/surg experience first? Yes I'm interested in the uniforms and lab coat please let me know where to meet you and the best time for you and I'll pick it up. I appreciate your kindness and wish you all the best in Nursing. Hi I am on the days waiting list at CCRI in Warwick and was put on that list in April 2004. I was told I won't be called until the end of 2006 to start in 2007. How did you get off the list so quickly??? My experience is that it is a long wait and there is not enough teachers for the clinicals from what I am told. I was also told that the campus all have the same wait. Any advice?? Raznay

Hi, I have been attending ccri for 2 years and have completed most of my pre-recs. I am on the waiting list for day program with 250 other students at the Warwick campus. I am number 152 and won't take clinicals until 2007. The first clinical will probably be at a nursing home. The sooner you finish English, Dosage Calculations, Anatomy and General Psy you will be put on either days or nights waiting list which is about 2-3 years long. Your best bet is to set up an appointment with an advisor at the college they will help you get started. Be patient it is a long process and can be difficult for some.
